Recently I was feeling sorry for myself and i posted this;"Ever feel like life has handed you an empty box of chocolates?" My beautiful aunt ,"Linda Dulin" replied;"When life gives you an empty box of chocolates, call it full in Jesus name. Call those things which are not as though they were! Just open your mouth and speak the WORDS!" Well that is some sage advice and i agree with it 100%. Sometimes it is difficult to speak positive words when there are people around you critical and miserable, how do you get around all of that NEGATIVITY without it rubbing off on you? If tin-foil hats protect the brain from intrusive aliens is it possible to repel negative people? Yea, about as possible as hitting yourself in the head with a hammer! HA! Soooooo... I scoured the internet for practical ideas of how to rid ones self of the negativity. Did you know that a negative person can not rub off on you if you do not allow them to? Just like vampires can not enter your house unless you invite them in. Negative folk suck the life out of me like Dracula sucks blood from his victims! I have heard it said "fight fire with fire" and i have seen the results and NO that does not work! The only way to combat negativity and to block it's punches is to remove yourself from the ring and run into the arms of Father God, put it all into his faithful and capable hands. This is not a cowardly act but an act nonetheless that says "I think more of what you want me to do than what i want" because what i want to do is stick a fork in someones eye. Take a deep breath now this is all part of growing up in the Lord, depending on Him for all needs and knowing that He has your best interest at heart. He has a plan for you and everything that concerns you!
